Many of our stitchers, supporters and exhibit visitors have asked us where the Torah Stitch by Stitch project will next be shown. The truth is . . . YOUR ONGOING ENGAGEMENT & SUPPORT WILL SHAPE THE FUTURE.
Our new compact exhibition brings our inspiring story right to your community!
Over the years, we have heard from many Jewish museums, synagogues, and community centres who would have loved to display our extraordinary embroidered Torah — but simply didn’t have enough space or the right environment to show 300 feet of delicate textile.
We decided to create a smaller exhibition concept anchored by a selection of digital reproductions on canvas that hang like cloth, and are so faithful to the originals that viewers instinctively lean in to touch the stitching.

We are also able to print some of our finest illuminations, bringing these lovely pieces to eye level where their symbolism and exquisite stitchery can be fully appreciated.

Each compact exhibition includes:
- A selection of five full size reproductions and 20 individual illuminations, on canvas
- The 15 minute documentary Stitchers: A Tapestry of Spirit
- Wall text explaining how the project came to life
- Reflections from stitchers around the world
- A global map of participants, and a list of local stitchers
- A tribute to our founder, Temma Gentles
Together, these elements bring the story and beauty of Torah Stitch by Stitch to life.
The Original Stitched Torah
The full stitched Torah remains stored in Toronto while we explore opportunities for its placement in a permanent public collection.
Please enjoy some of the photos from the first large scale exhibition at the Textile Museum of Canada ( June – Dec 2019).
