Torah Stitch by Stitch: The legacy of Temma Gentles
Ten years ago a modest project, designed to engage women with Torah, blossomed into an international, interfaith, intergenerational celebration of sacred text and art. Just this past winter the last pieces were assembled into our stunning, fully cross-stitched representation of the Torah. Sadly, Temma passed away suddenly this summer, before we could find a place to display the completed work.
To honour Temma’s memory, we have established a fund in her name, to ensure her dream becomes a reality.
This fund will be used to build out the versatile display structure that allows the work to be shown in many configurations. It will also ensure the secure, climate controlled, storage of the Tapestry until a suitable home is found for it.
